Kirkless Abbey is a convent that has only been mentioned throughout the show. In the episode "The Tax Man Cometh", Marian thinks about running away to become a nun after an argument with her father. She goes to Nottingham Castle to speak with the Mother Superior there who is a thief in disguise.
Later on in the episode, "Get Carter!", it is mentioned by Allan and Marian when thinking of a plan to explain her disappearance to Gisborne, giving him a letter that says she has joined the abbey at Kirklees.
The abbey is also mentioned in the episode, "Lost in Translation."
